In 1994, he released his debut album, Ready to Die, which achieved enormous success with tracks such as “Juicy” and “Big Poppa”. His style, characterized by sophisticated rhymes, vivid storytelling about street life, and a distinctive flow, established him as one of the greatest storytellers in American rap. On March 9, 1997, he was murdered in Los Angeles at just 24 years old; his killing remains unsolved. His second album, Life After Death, was released just weeks after his death and cemented his musical legacy.
