These days, Europe is being shaken by street protests, while midterm elections are taking place in the United States — a country whose president is, in all likelihood, directly responsible for much of the trouble we have been facing in recent months. Meanwhile, in Italy, the government is doing everything in its power to silence dissenting voices. It is time for all those who are dissatisfied to come together in a broad movement capable of defending their right to protest and to fight back. Just as the great African American movements did from the 1960s onwards.

In questi giorni l’Europa è attraversata da proteste di piazza, mentre negli Stati Uniti si tengono le elezioni di midterm. Un Paese il cui presidente è, con ogni probabilità, direttamente responsabile di gran parte dei problemi che stiamo affrontando negli ultimi mesi. In Italia, intanto, il governo cerca in ogni modo di mettere a tacere le voci del dissenso. È arrivato il momento che tutti gli scontenti si uniscano in un grande movimento, capace di difendere il loro diritto alla protesta e alla lotta. Proprio come seppero fare i grandi movimenti afroamericani a partire dagli anni Sessanta.
