Jackson
Jackson Lamb was born in the early 1950s and spent most of his career inside MI5, where he built a reputation as a highly capable but deeply unconventional intelligence officer. Since the late 1990s he has been in charge of Slough House, the administrative backwater where disgraced or failed agents—mockingly known as the “Slow Horses”—are sent to finish their careers. Lamb is notorious for his slovenly appearance, biting sarcasm, and deliberately crude behavior, yet beneath this façade he remains an exceptionally sharp and experienced spymaster who keeps a close, if reluctant, watch over the agents under his command.
In the Slow Horses television adaptation on Apple TV+, Jackson Lamb is portrayed by Gary Oldman.
