Jackson
Jackson Lamb was born in the early 1950s and spent most of his career inside MI5, where he built a reputation as a highly capable but deeply unconventional intelligence officer. Since the late 1990s he has been in charge of Slough House, the administrative backwater where disgraced or failed agents, mockingly known as the “Slow Horses”, are sent to finish their careers. Lamb is notorious for his slovenly appearance, biting sarcasm, and deliberately crude behavior, yet beneath this facade he remains an exceptionally sharp and experienced spymaster who keeps a close, if reluctant, watch over the agents under his command.
In the Slow Horses television adaptation on Apple TV+, Jackson Lamb is portrayed by Gary Oldman.

Jackson Lamb è nato nei primi anni Cinquanta e ha trascorso gran parte della sua carriera all’interno dell’MI5, dove si è costruito la reputazione di agente dei servizi segreti estremamente capace ma profondamente anticonvenzionale. Dalla fine degli anni Novanta è a capo di Slough House, il limbo amministrativo in cui vengono mandati a concludere la loro carriera gli agenti caduti in disgrazia o falliti, soprannominati con scherno “Slow Horses”. Lamb è noto per il suo aspetto trasandato, il sarcasmo tagliente e il comportamento volutamente rozzo, ma sotto questa facciata resta uno stratega eccezionalmente lucido ed esperto che vigila da vicino, anche se controvoglia, sugli agenti sotto il suo comando.
Nell’adattamento televisivo di Slow Horses su Apple TV+, Jackson Lamb è interpretato da Gary Oldman.
